UGC NET Result 2020: National Testing Agency (NTA) released the UGC NET June exam results on ugcnet.nta.nic.in on Tuesday. NTA has said that about 47 thousand candidates have qualified for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor in the UGC NET exam. As per the official information, “As per UGC rules, 6% of the candidates who appear in both the papers and achieve minimum qualifying marks in both the papers are declared as net qualified.”
According to the NTA report, out of 8,60,976 candidates registered for UGC NET June, 5,26,707 candidates appeared in the examination. Of the 8,60,976, 2,59,734 were for Assistant Professor and 2,59,734 for JRF and Assistant Professor. Of the 5,26,707 candidates who appeared in the examination, 1,40,479 were for Assistant Professor and 3,86,228 for JRF and Assistant Professor.
Out of 5.2 lakh candidates who appeared in the examination, 40986 candidates qualified for Assistant Professor and 6171 candidates qualified for JRF and Assistant Professor.
The examination was conducted between 24 September and 13 November. Provisional Answer-Key was released on 17 November and Final Answer was on 30 November. The final answer-key was prepared after the candidates’ objections and Scrutiny. 8,60,976 candidates had registered in the UGC NET 2020 exam. However, a total of 5,26,707 candidates had participated in the examination.
UGC NET is organized for the eligibility of Assistant Professor in colleges and universities and for Junior Research Fellowship. This examination is conducted twice a year. There is no maximum age limit to sit in this exam, but only candidates below 28 years of age can apply for JRF.
