Delhi Private schools on Friday released the first list for admission to the elementary classes (nursery, KG and first) of the academic year 2020-21. The admission process has started from Saturday.
Under the guidelines of the Directorate of Education, 1700 private schools in Delhi had sought applications for admission to nursery classes by 28 December. Based on the applications, private schools released the first list for admission on Friday. At the same time, the directorate has given the option of appealing to the parents if they do not agree with the list. Three days have been set for parents.
Appeal till 3 February: Under the guidelines of the Directorate of Education, children whose names are not in the admission list. Their parents can ask questions in this regard by writing, email or personal contact. According to the Directorate of Education, parents can appeal to the schools from January 27 to February 3 regarding the admission list.
Waiting list also released: Private schools have also released waiting list along with the first admission list. Private schools have prepared this list on the basis of criteria like distance from home to school, sibling quota, parents’ alumni status, single child, first child. Children will be admitted on the basis of the first admission list. After this, admissions will be done from the waiting list.
One of these documents is necessary
- Ration card or smart card issued in the name of parent ‘Original residence certificate issued in the name of child or parent
- Voter ID card issued in the name of parents ‘Aadhar card issued in the name of parents’ Electricity-water-telephone bill or passport with the name of parents will be valid for admission of child’s birth certificate.
Second list on 12 February Private schools will release the second list on 12 February. This list will be released for the remaining seats after the first list. Even with this list, schools must also issue a waiting list. At the same time, if the seats remain in the schools even after the second list under the directives of the directorate, the school will come to the third list on 6 March.
