UGC NET 2020: National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed UGC NET starting from 16 September. Now this exam will start from 24 September. Detailed schedule will be released later. Admit cards will also be issued soon. It is to be noted that the UGC NET exam was to be held between 16 to 18 September and 21 to 25 September. Due to non-issue of admit card of UGC NET, the candidates were waiting for the exam related updates for the last few days.
The NTA issued the notice on Monday, saying, ‘NET exam dates were colliding with ICAR examinations AIEEA-UG / PG and AICE-JRF / SRF (Ph.D.) 2020-21. In such a case, UGC NET has been re-scheduled. Some candidates are appearing in both ICAR and UGC NET examinations. Now UGC NET 2020 exam will start from 24 September. Subject wise and shift wise schedule of UGC NET will be released later.
The ICAR’s AIEEA-UG / PG and AICE-JRF / SRF (Ph.D.) 2020-21 examinations will be conducted by the NTA on 16, 17, 22 and 23 September.
UGC NET is organized for eligibility of Assistant Professor in colleges and universities and for Junior Research Fellowship. This examination is conducted twice a year. There is no maximum age limit for appearing in this examination, but only candidates below 28 years of age can apply for JRF.
The first paper of UGIS NET will be Teaching and Research Aptitude which will have 50 objective questions. At the same time, the second paper is subject based. That is, candidates can take NET exam in 84 subjects. The syllabus of UGC NET has already been released by the National Testing Agency.
