The National Testing Agency (NTA) has once again extended the last date to apply for UGC NET. Apart from UGC NET, the application date for ICAR NET, CSIR NET, Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam (JNUEE) and IGNOU Open MAT 2020 (IGNOU Open MAT) exam has also been extended. Earlier the last date to apply for all these exams was 31 May but now it has been extended to 15 June. The NTA has taken this decision in view of the difficulties faced by the candidates in the event of corona virus lockdown.
If any interested candidate has not applied for these exams then he can apply by going to nta.ac.in. Applications will be accepted by 5 pm on the last date (15 June). The application fee will be accepted till 11.50 pm on June 15, which can be paid through credit card, debit card, net banking, UPI and Paytm.
HRD Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Sunday informed about the extension of application date for these exams. He wrote in the tweet, ‘Due to the requests coming from the students and the problems in the corona lockdown situation, I have advised the NTA to extend the application date for these exams.’
According to the official notice, the new dates of all these exams and all the information related to the time of downloading the admit card will be released later.
The last date for application of All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) is 5 June.
Permission to apply without certificate
This time the NTA had allowed the candidates to apply in CSIR-UGC NET without category certificate and result certificate. Union Human Resource Development Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had said that the candidates applying for UGC NET who have difficulty in providing Cast Certificate in Lockdown (SC / ST / OBC / EWS / PwD) or Exam Result Certificate Only applications of Certiket can be applied.

UGC NET is organized for eligibility of Assistant Professor in colleges and universities and for Junior Research Fellowship.
The CSIR NET exam is conducted to provide lectureships and Junior Research Fellowships (JRFs) in science-related subjects at universities and colleges across the country.
