The Punjab government has launched an ‘Ambassador of Hope’ competition for school students. Three students from each district participating and most active in this competition will be awarded. Students selected in the competition will be given iPads, laptops and Android tablets as prizes.
In the ‘Ambassadors of Hope’ trend-
State Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla launched a song for ‘Ambassadors of Hope’, an online competition for school students. The song was the top trend on the internet on Thursday as more than 1 million (1 million) people have seen it within a few hours of its launch. On the other hand, in three days, more than 18 thousand school students have shared their creative videos with the Education Minister.
Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Amritsar districts with more cities and rich cities of Punjab are getting more entries from the districts like Mansa, Moga and Fazilka. The minister’s home district Sangrur, Bathinda and Patiala is closely contested and the video count from the three cities is almost equal. Around 1500 children have sent videos from Mohali and Ropar districts. Most of the children are sharing their videos in the form of speeches, songs and poems, while most of the videos are about 2 minutes.
On the other hand, the Education Minister is also sharing some videos from the students on his social media page. The minister is doing this to increase the encouragement of children and the urge to show children on their time line is increasing.
While ‘Ambassador of Hope’ has helped the parents to keep the children safe at home, the school teacher and the principal have also got an opportunity to join the children. Most of the teachers of the school are helping the children to make excellent videos through the phone. No participation fees and complicated registration have also helped to ensure maximum participation of children.
Some videos are going viral in WhatsApp groups of Punjab School Education Board and creative coordination. Students are also sharing the link of their videos on social media to [email protected] While starting the competition, the Education Minister had announced that three winners from each district would be shortlisted, who would get Apple iPads, laptops and Android tablets as the first, second and third prizes respectively. The winners and teachers of the schools, ensuring maximum participation, will receive citations, while all the participants will be given ‘Ambassador of Hope’ certificates.
